Quick and Easy Holiday Gift Card Holders

So I needed to get some last minute gifts for out of town family and I decided on gift cards easy to take back to California and Ohio :)

I used the "Weddings" Sentiment Cartridge to cut out the gift card holder cut out on Blackout at 5 inches

I used my "Merry Christmas" stamp for the sentiment literally took me 10 minutes to make!

I added some stickles too :)

I got the idea for crafty jars from Mary over at CardzTV (you should check her out she has such cute ideas) any ways.. I made 12 of them this weekend and I plan on making more this coming weekend. I plan on making homemade puppy biscuits for my puppy friends out there and I plan on putting them in similar containers!

So the decorative paper here is just laid on top of the metal lid, on the under side I typed the recipe for the peppermint bark so family can make it for their friends too!
This is the side view of the jars!

I made these with stamps I got from Micheal's they were in the $1.00 bin "Happy Holidays", "Merry Christmas" and "Seasons Greetings" I also made half with the inverted colors, green card stock for the stamp, and red ribbon

My BFF got married!

So on Oct. 9th one of my sorority sisters got married! It was a beautiful fall day and made for a perfect wedding day. Her colors were orange mocha and latte brown so of course I made a card for the special day!

I used the cricut solutions cartridge"Wedding"

My Pink Stamper Live Broadcast Challenge entry

Robyn and Karlee extended a challenge during their live broadcast the other night to make something with Pink, Purple, and Green in it. I decided to make a card geared towards Halloween so here is my entry let me know what you all think!

Halloween Treat bags

So I decided late one night that making treat bags for the student workers at the college I work at would be a great idea. I didnt even use the cricut! I did however use the cuttlebug embossing folder swiss dots.

I got a great deal on candy too! The bags I used were a 200 pack of clear bags from Wal-Mart that I found in the jewelry making section only cost me $2.00 too!

I made a total of 30 of them. And now my Boyfriend wants me to make them for his employees at the hotel. I better get working on them too!

Oh Birthdays

So I know that is has been a long time since I posted anything but here are some Birthday cards I made with the cricut. I used the Doodle charm cartridge and the cricut embossing folder: swirls for them

Diaper Cake!!

So my brother and my sister-in-law are expecting their first child in August.. so for the shower I made my very first diaper cake!

It was really simple, I used a pack of 96 diapers (only used 90 of them), a wrapping paper tube and jumbo rubber bands.

All you do is slide the rubber band over the tube and then roll each diaper as tight as possible and slip it in the rubber band.

It was so much fun! Only took an hour to make then longer for decorating it...but thats the best part.

I decorated mine with basic ribbon, thank you cards I made, and baby toys. They loved it and it was a perfect gift and center piece for the baby shower too

Hope you all like it!

Cute Gift Ideas

I started making card gift packs.

Here are a couple simple ones a pack of 4 sympathy cards and a pack of 4 thank you notes, they are 4x4 cards

Happy Birthday to my BFF

This was a simple card using the doodlecharm cartridge.

Girlie cards are so much easier to make too!

I also used a stamp set that I got from papertreyink.com

Hope you like it!

Been Busy

So its been a while I just recently got the Create a Critter cartridge and one of the 24 just released lite cartridges I got the celebrate with flourish, this cartridge is tons of fun because it has nearly all the holidays and more in it. check out the fathers day cards I made one with the Lite cartridge the other with the create a critter.

I just got a bunch of stamps too. I went to papertreyink.com pretty good site quick turn time for the merchandise and not bad pricing good sample packs too.

With graduation around the corner I made a couple graduation cards too using the Locker Talk cartridge.

Let me know what you think!

this is the first Fathers Day card using the Create a Critter Cartridge. I added googly eyes for effect.

This was made using the new Cricut Lite Cartridge, Celebrate with Flourish. i absolutely love this one!

I made this graduation card for my co-worker who was going out of town to a graduation.

This is the card I made for my sister who will be graduating high school at the end of the month. i used the Locker Talk Cartridge and my new Stamps I got.

Just Because...

So my friend recently rescued a 5 year old lab and I thought to show her how happy I was I would make her a card!

I used the Doodle Charm Cartridge for this card...
Lastly, I made a card for another friend that was having a rough week and thought that a simple "girly" card would make her smile and it did!!

Memorial Day and Fathers day card Ideas

So I got the Stand and Salute cartridge with my Cricut and this is the first time I have a reason to break it out and get crafty!

This is a card that I made for my mom to give to the local Vetrans home. I hope they enjoy it! I look forward to making more for July 4th! I now have time to brainstorm more ideas!

So I know Fathers day is right around the corner so here is a sample Fathers day card. I will add more later once I have made some more so keep looking back!

I'm really looking forward to getting stamps. Even though I like to free hand the writing I think stamping would make the cards look more crisp and clean

As time goes by...

So since I got my Cricut I have made roughly a card a month now its like a card a day! I find every reason to get my Cricut out and I have bought so much other crafty accessories to use with my cards.

Let me know what you think!

This was a bridal shower card that I made I am a big fan of using graphic card stock and colors together. Shadowing is a lot of fun too!
This is the inside of the card.. I had some quotable vellum that I put in the heart I LOVE the ribbon too I feel that it gave a little more to the card!

A simple birthday card!
A graduation card, I used the locker talk cartridge for this card. What I like the most is that I can interchange colors to match school colors. This one is for my sister who will be graduating high school in June

Getting Started

Its been about 6 months since I got my Cricut and I am totally hooked! When i first started I had 2 cartridges and regular paper. I didn't know the difference between paper and card-stock but I soon learned!

Some things I learned quickly that I think will help any early crafter are:

Start Simple. Its easier to add more later then to take things away
Research. I found myself more confident in my work once I did some research on what to use.
Have FUN! Its all about having fun if your not having fun then it wont reflect in your work

Well I guess that is it for my first blog and here are some of my first cards let me know what you think!

This is the inside of the baby shower card that I made (50 of them!)

I cut out the rattle and the stroller using the Stamping Solutions cartridge. It was a lot of work but the cards came out amazing and everyone loved them!

This is the front of the card the "oh baby" came from the Stamping Solutions Cartridge and the baby head came from the Doodle Charm Cartridge.

I bought some decorative scissors to cut the waves out of the blue paper too. I was really excited on how these came out especially for being my first project

The only this I wish was not to have been so over ambitious.
